Wink Lorch celebrates successful fundraising for her Jura book

A bottle of 2004 Vin Jaune from Domaine de la Pinte with Wink Lorch@Terroirs

Wink Lorch held a small celebration yesterday afternoon in the Terroirs Wine Bar in London to mark the successful conclusion of fundraising for her Jura book. Using Kickstarter Wink raised £14,076 in pledges towards the cost of producing her book on the wines for the Jura.

L-R: Céline Bouteiller, Jen MacDonald (Mandarin Communications - who are organising the first ever Jura tasting in London next month) and Alison Dillon (Dillon-Morrall)

2007 Cuvée Prestige, Savagnin, Jean François Ganevat

Among the wines we tried was the delicately oxidised 2007 Savagnin from Jean François Ganevat. Here is Kermit Lynch's take on the Ganevat wines.

With the easy bit now over, the hard work of finishing the research and getting the words down now begins. The book is due out in April 2014.

Jim, how about a book about Loire wines or at least about some of the Loire's sub-regions, Anjou, Touraine....?
